On Tuesday March the 3rd in Brussels, our CEO Adri Pols walked onto the BlueiInvest stage and made the case for a different kind of water infrastructure. The jury agreed. Desolenator won the BlueInvest Award 2026 in the Ocean Resilience category.
The award was presented by Charlina Vitcheva, Director-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries at the European Commission, on the Commission's flagship platform for scaling practical solutions in ocean protection, water management and coastal resilience. Also in the room: Jonas Skattum Svegaarden, CEO of Katapult Ocean and one of our earliest believers. He was cheering from the audience. He was not allowed to vote.
What Adri pitched is what we have been building for years: a system that turns seawater into ultrapure water using solar energy, with no chemicals, no membranes, and no toxic brine discharged back into the ocean. Circular water infrastructure, designed from the ground up to work with nature rather than against it.
Winning in a room full of investors, policymakers and ocean economy builders who spend their days evaluating exactly this kind of work: that is the kind of recognition that tells you something real.
