Engineering work is crucial to our achieving this vision.
At the moment we are working towards further optimising the energy production loop of our thermal desalination plant. We are looking for an Engineering Intern to join our team at Desolenator, to model the energy production loop in Matlab/Simulink, using existing Simulink and Python models.
This role provides practical modelling experience for students following an engineering degree at University level and will be fixed to a period of 3-6 months. You will be based at our lab in Maastricht, to gain first hand working experience in an R&D lab.

Model the energy production loop in Matlab/Simulink, using existing Simulink and Python models.
Model energy production scenarios as advised by the team.
Integrate these scenarios into existing thermal desalination model and optimse the whole.
Coordinate with the lab manager in many day-to-day activities.
What we are looking for
Student in the following courses: MS or BS in various Engineering specialties, such as chemical, process engineering, mechanical or electrical engineering
Someone with good modelling skills in Matlab/Simulink, and is able to work with the existing Simulink and Python models, and have a good understanding of thermodynamics.
A team player who enjoys company and working within a fun and energetic free-thinking team
